Northern Rivers Disaster Recovery Volunteers ( NRDRV) is a community-focused organisation connecting two groups:

  • Flood-affected Residents, Property Owners, Landowners, and Community Groups needing practical recovery assistance.
  • Volunteers, Travellers, and Working Holiday Visa Holders who want to contribute to meaningful regional recovery work.
We support flood recovery, property restoration, environmental cleanup, volunteer coordination, accommodation support, and regional community assistance throughout the Northern Rivers.
NRDRV was created from real lived experience. The core of how NRDRV is built is centered around providing assistance and opportunities for those in need. One of the founders has been coordinating volunteers for approximately 12 years through a WWOOF-style organic farming and regional property program, giving the organisation strong experience in managing travellers, volunteers, accommodation, work routines, community-based projects and assisting in Visa Applications.

Accommodation Assistance for Volunteers
The Northern Rivers Disaster Recovery Volunteers (NRDRV) may help eligible volunteers access relaxed accommodation opportunities associated with recovery projects in areas such as Byron Bay, Evans Head, and surrounding Northern Rivers communities. Please note that this is all subject to availability.
