NRDRV assists communities in the Northern Rivers struck by natural disasters. We provide recovery assistance through connecting volunteers with communities that are in need of help. Who Can Request Assistance?
NRDRV’s Request Recovery Assistance is designed for flood-affected residents, property owners, landowners, elderly residents, community groups, and people affected by natural disasters who need practical help with recovery and restoration works.

Our Goal
NRDRV aims to connect suitable volunteers with people and communities in need of assistance across the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Support may include flood clean-up, debris removal, outdoor restoration, garden and land recovery, landscaping, painting, property maintenance, environmental recovery, foreshore clean-up, and machinery-supported works where appropriate.
This service exists because many people affected by floods and natural disasters are left with overwhelming recovery tasks, and some residents may be elderly, isolated, under resourced, or physically unable to complete these works themselves. NRDRV helps bridge that gap by coordinating volunteers and practical support where suitable and available.
We guarantee:
- Community-focused disaster recovery assistance
- Practical support for flood-affected residents and property owners
- Volunteer coordination for clean-up, restoration, and recovery works
- Support for elderly or isolated residents where suitable
- Experience with flood-affected properties and real recovery conditions
- Local Northern Rivers knowledge
- Ability to assist with outdoor recovery, property maintenance, environmental clean-up, and foreshore works
All recovery assistance is subject to volunteer availability, project suitability, site safety, access conditions, location, supervision requirements, equipment availability, accommodation capacity, and NRDRV approval.
